be the church

It is not a human rightTo stare not fightWhile broken nations dreamOpen up our eyes, so blindThat we might findThe Mercy for the needSingin Hey NowFill our hearts with your compassionHey NowAs we hold to our confessionYeahIt is not too far a cryTo much to tryTo help the least of thesePolitics will not decideIf we should riseAnd be your hands and feetSinging Hey NowFill our hearts with your compassionHey NowAs we hold to our confessionWoah-oh-oh,God be the solutionWoah-oh-ohWe will be Your hands and be Your feet.Yeah, yeahHigher than a circumstanceYour promise standsYour love for all to seeHigher than protest line and dollar signsYour love is all we needOnly you can mend the broken heartAnd cause the blind to seeErase complete the sinners pastAnd set the captives freeOnly you can take the widows cryAnd cause her heart to singBe a father to the fatherlessOur savior and our kingWe will be your hands, we will be your feetWe will run this raceOn the darkest place, we will be your lightWe will be your lightWe will be your hands , we will be your feetWe will run this race for the least of theseIn the darkest place, we will be your lightWe will be your light (we'll say/sing?)We will run we will runWe will (run with the solution?) (2x)We will be your hands we will be your feetWe will run this race for the least of theseIn the darkest place we will be your lightWe will be you lightI along with a few others from my church attended a hillsongunited concert tonight which was amazing i might add. and why had been talking durning the concert/service.. how there pastor was not that good of a preacher and how is wasn't only music that was making their church such a growing church.. it wasn't that they had something that we don't have. they are just connecting with something that we do not..the song above i have heard over a hundred times. i have sung it and it has been suck in my head countless times. and also my myspace song at one time.. but singing with 3,000 other people and reading the words as we were singing them we all began to realize the difference. i understand why hillsong has only been a church for fifteen years and they are running over 20,000 people.. they are the chuch.. they run the race for the weak. they are the hands and the feet of those which are not strong enough on their own. they minster to the poor and the needy. something that we for the most part do not do. it's a come as you are atomsphere it doesn't matter who is wearing the lastest armani suit or who looks like the models in vogue. they are they for one purpose. to worship the almighty. i believe that it's time for the rest of us to step up. be the church. be the hands and the feet. run the race for the weak. don't let any oppertunity pass you by to change a life.
